Open Letter to all local pubs/clubs and captains.

Dear Team Captain and Landlord
I am writing to let you know we will be commencing the next domino season quite soon, and we invite you to join us. Some of you will be regulars and have well established teams’ others may be deciding to join us for the first time; either way you are very welcome.
Our usual mode of operation is that we play home and away, so with two teams you have a home fixture virtually every week which for landlords must help with your trade and advertising. As well as the team contest there is an individual’s league-points trophy in each division, and we run knockouts for teams, gents’ pairs, ladies’ pairs and captain’s singles, culminating in a Finals and Presentations Night at the end of March.
To register, you will need to send one representative per team to the AGM on Monday August 10th at the Cricket Club, Vere Road, at 7.30pm. A subscription, of £10 is required at registration to secure membership. Members will then be issued with a player registration form for completion. Would prospective new teams please contact the Chair prior to the AGM (details below).
This is an important meeting as we will be launching our new web site, therefore, if you are not ‘tech-savvy’ please bring along one of your team-mates who might be able to support you. We are also introducing games that you and your team can play; they are the 6’s and 9’s domino games.
1. Please check your contact details on the website and bring updates to the AGM.
2. If you want something to be placed on the AGM agenda, the Chairman must receive written notice not later than 3rd August 2026
3. Please let your team captain(s)/landlords see this letter prior to the meeting, so that your team’s views and details can be brought to the meeting.
